Description
The Senior DevOps will perform as a member of a dynamic software engineering team developing cutting edge energy storage tools. The Senior DevOps Engineer will be empowered to identify and drive opportunities to improve automation for deployment, management, and tooling.Requirements:
- The candidate will have a background B.S. degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- 5+ years experience in a DevOps role
- 5+ years experience in Linux
- Experience with general programming/scripting languages (e.g. C, C++, Javascript, Python, Ruby, shell scripting). Experience with automation frameworks such as Ansible to manage administration, monitoring, and development of custom plug-ins and workflows
- Deep understanding of all core Github concepts and terminology
- Extensive experience in using build automation DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, and AWS (Amazon Web Services)
- Ability to automate various infrastructure activities like Continuous Deployment, Application Server setup, stack monitoring using Ansible playbooks and has interacted Ansible with Jenkins
- Integration of code quality tools such as SonarQube.
- Workflow and Collaboration tooling such as JIRA, Confluence, and MS Teams.
- Ability to quickly understand, learn and implement new system designs, new technologies, and functional components of software systems in a professional environment.
- Able to build solid relationships within as well as consensus across multiple teams on environment strategies of build and release process.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Accredited Certification in any of the following desired, but not required: Jenkins, Docker, Github and/or AWS.
Qualifications
- B.tech with 5+ Years of experience in DevOps role with Linux background
- Devops Engineer must have experience of the following: Ansible, Jenkins, Jira, Git (Github, Gitlab), Atlassian, Confluence and AWS.
- Code management tooling such as Git, Github, Gitlab.
- Build tools such as Jenkins
- Automation tools such as Ansible.
- Static code analysis tools such as SonarQube.
- Integration of Test Automation tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field.
- 5 to 15 years of experience in a DevOps role.
Prefered Skills
Accredited Certification in any of the following desired, but not required:
