India Battery Manufacturing and Supply Chain Council
Making India a global hub in Battery Manufacturing, Supply Chain and R&D.
IESA launched the India Battery Manufacturing and Supply Chain Council (IBMSCC) with the aim of bolstering the battery industry across various facets of domestic production. Unveiled at the India Battery Manufacturing and Supply Chain Summit, held in December 2021, the council collaborates with over 60 industry players involved in Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) battery manufacturing, offering comprehensive support such as market analysis, strategic business planning, market expansion, technology due diligence, policy advocacy, and skill enhancement among others.
The IBMSCC serves as a forum for battery, cell, and intermediate component manufacturers to address challenges related to resource availability, raw materials, supply chain, technologies, policies, and regulations enabling them to propose practical solutions for the advancement of the industry.
