The MOVE initiative is aimed at helping India move towards vehicle electrification and taking measures that will build a robust ecosystem for EV manufacturing & adoption. IESA is working with various stakeholders in the mobility sector to address barriers and focus on the aspects related to batteries for EVs and charging infrastructure development.

Activities:
- Provided recommendations to NITI Aayog and DIPP on manufacturing policy for storage & Evs
- Helped organize CEO roundtable with Invest India to discuss energy storage and EV manufacturing in India
- Addressed industry concerns related to push for swapping only policy at IESA Policy Forum
- Working with ICAT and ARAI for improving industry interactions
- Focusing on Li-ion cell, battery pack as well as charging infrastructure manufacturing
- Organized State EV roundtables to promote the adoption of EV in various states
- Hosted a 2 day workshop with IEEMA for manufacturing companies
- Organized online Roundtable on Battery Swapping Roadmap for India in the month of May, June and July 2020
- Organized an Electric Mobility & Advanced Battery Training with FAME 2 Certification Process along with ARAI Lab Visit on 6/7/2019
- IESA was the proud partner of GEMS – Global Electrification Mobility Summit organized by SIAM which was held on 7/2/2020
- Organized the 7th Electric Mobility event ‘India e-Mobility Conclave 2020 (IMC 2020)’ on 6/8/2020 as Virtual Conference focused on roadmap and outlook for e-mobility in India. Chief Guest Shri Nitin Jairam Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Minister of Shipping, and the Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Govt. of India addressed the conclave. An MoU was signed between Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL) and India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) to collaborate jointly to ensure faster adoption of EV mobility & pan India scaling of EV charging infrastructure. IESA also launched EV adopters club (IESA-EAC) accelerating private adoption of xEVs in India. The club will work on Phased approach. EESL to provide 3 months free charging to the members of IESA- EAC members across India at EESL facilities.
