Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power company, has invited long-term bids for procurement of 225 MW grid-connected hybrid power (wind and solar) on Wednesday, June 3.

The pre-bidding meeting online will be held on June 16, 2020 and the last date for submission of technical and financial bids will be July 6, 2020.

As per the tender notice, the minimum project size of a single hybrid power project for an intra-state project will be 25MW of wind with at least 5 MW project on one site. As for inter-state projects, 50 MW capacity on one site is to be interconnected at a single delivery point.

The existing wind and solar power project developers willing to install the other components can do so as per the provisions of the request for proposal (Rfs). The rated installed project capacity of either of the two-component has to be more than 25 percent of the other and it adds that wind component should be capped at a maximum of 50 percent of the project capacity.

The developer should commission projects within a period of 18 months from the date of execution of the PPA.

Tata Power, last month announced that its renewable business capacity crossed 2,637 MW (932 MW Wind & 1705 MW Solar). With this, the company’s renewable energy portfolio (including clean and green projects) stands at 3,883 MW, a 7 percent increase from the corresponding quarter last year.
