With the paradigm shift in the battery market, the demand for lithium-ion batteries continues to grow, the strain placed upon the raw material supply chain is expected to be significant. The wide range of raw materials required including lithium, cobalt, nickel sulphate, copper, aluminium and graphite, and changes to supply chains are inevitable. Lithium-ion batteries have become the dominant battery technology in major markets, such as portable electronics, automotive and energy storage systems, Automotive applications accounted for over 70% of total lithium-ion battery shipments in 2019 and the growth is forecasted at a rapid pace. This webinar will touch base on the need for quality supply of raw and refined materials in manufacturing li-ion batteries and the way this industry is scaling up.
Speakers:
Manohar Bethapudi, AGM-Strategy & BD, Himadri Specialty Chemical
