IESA submitted a letter to NITI Aayog to request intervention in advising MHI & GST council to consider the reduction of GST on individual batteries operated in EVs. IESA highlighted the importance of reduction of GST on individual batteries to 5% marging and request intervention with GST council and also requested to issue clarification on GST rates on EV charging on backdrop of ruling by Karnataka Authority.
