IESA submitted a letter to MOP on various aspects and challenges with respect to Energy Storage Industry in India. IESA highlighted key concerns such as implementation of ESO, finalization of VGF guidelines, firm capacity of storage component in FDRE tenders, importance of GST reduction and import duty reduction on batteries, and need for finalization of LDES and SDES policy and target setting for ESS.
