IESA-IBMSCC submitted a representation to Ministry of New & Renewable Energy on its analysis on critical battery material requirement by 2025, 2030 and 2050 on the backdrop of IESA's earlier representation to MNRE on ACC PLI Scheme for Grid Scale application and mutliple meetings with MNRE. IESA submitted a letter to Ministry of External Affairs requesting their support for inclusion of India in the US-Led Minerals Security Partnership (MSP) to Strengthen the supply chain for battery - critical Minerals. IESA have highlighted the importance of Minerals Security Partnership and its importance to meet the India's ambitious targets for EV and RE deployment and to achieve net zero goals, where a significant demand fro battery-critical minerals is envisaged.
