On 20th April 2021, IESA sent a letter to PMO requesting to accelerate cabinet approval for ACC Battery Manufacturing PLI.

IESA letters to PMO dated 10th July, 22nd Sept, 6th Nov and 10th Dec 2020 for launching PLI scheme for ACC Giga Factory Manufacturing Plan.

IESA-IBMSCC analysis on Critical Battery Material requirement for 2025, 2030 and 2050.

IESA-IBMSCC submitted a representation to Ministry of New & Renewable Energy on its analysis on critical battery material requirement by 2025, 2030 and 2050 on the backdrop of IESA's earlier representation to MNRE on ACC PLI Scheme for Grid Scale application and mutliple meetings with MNRE. IESA analysis estimates a cumulative demand of 40 GWh, 220 GWh, and 630 GWh ACC batteries by 2025, 2030, and 2035.

IESA submitted a representation to Ministry of Heavy Industries to request for extension of FAME - II Scheme and finalization of draft Battery Swapping Policy. IESA under its intiative IEMC conducted several roundtables with relevant industry stakeholders to finalising the draft Battery Swapping Policy, to include Light Commercial Vehicles under FAME scope and formulising retro fitment guidelines and extension of FAME - II Scheme for few more years for continued support for EV adoption.

IESA submitted a representation to NITI Aayog to request for extension of FAME - II Scheme and finalization of draft Battery Swapping Policy. IESA under its intiative IEMC conducted several roundtables with relevant industry stakeholders to finalising the draft Battery Swapping Policy, to include Light Commercial Vehicles under FAME scope and formulising retro fitment guidelines and extension of FAME - II Scheme for few more years for continued support for EV adoption.

IESA letter to MEA to support the inclusion of India in the US-Led MSP to strengthen the supply chain for battery Critical Minerals.

IESA submitted a letter to Ministry of External Affairs requesting their support for inclusion of India in the US-Led Minerals Security Partnership (MSP) to Strengthen the supply chain for battery - critical Minerals. IESA have highlighted the importance of Minerals Security Partnership and its importance to meet the India's ambitious targets for EV and RE deployment and to achieve net zero goals, where a significant demand fro battery-critical minerals is envisaged.
