As per the global Human Development Index (HDI), in 2021, India
ranks 132 out of 191 countries.
Global Wellness Index 2020: India ranks 120 out of 151 countries,
with an overall wellness score of 47.8 out of 100.
According to the National Mental Health Survey of India, 1 in 7
people are affected by mental health disorders, and only about 1
in 10 people receive adequate treatment.
As per World Health Organization (WHO), in India 66% of annual
deaths are caused by Non- Communicable diseases (NCDs). 1 in
4 Indians are at a risk of dying from an NCD before they reach the
age of 70.
