Women have an important role to play in sustainable energy development as energy professionals, energy decision makers and energy consumers. According to IEA, the energy sector remains one of the least gender diverse sectors and closing this gender gap will be vital as women are key drivers of innovative and inclusive solutions. Women’s participation in the energy sector is below that of the broader economy and varies widely across energy sub-sectors. A clean energy transition will require greater participation from a diverse talent pool for innovative solutions we well as business models.
India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) is launching Women in Energy Network for Connecting, Educating, Inspiring, Networking & Empowering Women in Clean Energy Transition. With IESA’ strong professional network, the key objective of this initiative will be to promote women’s participation and strengthen gender diversity and equity in the emerging energy storage & electric mobility sector.
