4th India Battery Manufacturing & Supply Chain Summit 2025
With the resounding success of 3rd India Battery Manufacturing & Supply Chain Summit held at Hyderabad, We are pleased to update you that IESA is organizing the 4th India Battery Manufacturing & Supply Chain Summit on the 15th & 16th January 2025 in New Delhi. The event is expected to have 1000+ industry leaders from 400+ organisations, 30+ government officials, 50+ global speakers. This international summit will brings you new partnership opportunities, business strategy, networking, and devising your roadmap for the Battery Manufacturing & Supply Chain industry. We are glad to have Syrah Resources and Magus Minerals as Gold Partner for the event. The last edition of the IBMSCS at Hyderabad witnessed 600+ delegates, 15+ sponsors and Partners, 20+ govt officials with 30+ international speakers.
IESA launched the India Battery Manufacturing and Supply Chain Council (IBMSCC) to support the battery industry in various aspects related to indigenous manufacturing. It was launched during the 1st India Battery Manufacturing and Supply Chain Summit held in December 2021. This council facilitates a platform for battery, cells, and intermediate component (Cathode, anode, electrolyte, Separator, Adhesive and other non-active parts, etc.) manufacturers to discuss the challenges associated with resource availability, raw materials supply chain, policies, and regulations and recommend relevant solutions.
Signifying the important stride in the industry's growth, three companies have signed the PLI agreement for a capacity of 40 GWh cell manufacturing capacity and are all geared up to establish their plants. The bidding process for the remaining 10 GWh is planned for stationary storage technologies. Beyond 50 GWh PLI, we expect 140 GWh cell manufacturing expected by 2030 and 500 GWh by 2035. Further, India is now part of the US-led Minerals Security Partnership, which opens tremendous opportunities for the global market. The Ministry launched multiple tranches of e-auction of critical and strategic minerals. In the recent budget the Central government also announced Critical Minerals Mission, which includes mining, refining and recycling of battery critical minerals.
The IBMSCC works with 60+ global industry players engaged in the ACC manufacturing ecosystem, helping in market analysis, creating business strategies, expanding market opportunities, technology due diligence, policy advocacy, skill development, etc. Also, IBMSCC is actively engaged with the Ministry of Mines, the Ministry of Heavy Industries, the Ministry of Commerce, and NITI Aayog to support the development of a sustainable ACC manufacturing ecosystem in the country. With the success of 3rd India Battery Manufacturing & Supply Chain Summit at Hyderabad, Jan 2024, IESA is planning the 4th edition in New Delhi. The forthcoming conference is scheduled on
