About Event

IESA in association with United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) will be organizing a webinar on 23rd of November 2020 where UNIDO will share about the launch of “The Facility of Low Carbon Deployment” Innovation Challenge for the year 2020 with the vision to identify high-impact emerging Start-ups and thereby support them for technology validation and market access. This year onwards, Electrical  Energy Storage has been recognized as an emerging sector for innovation and has been introduced as a vertical for the Innovation Challenge. The session will deliver an introduction about the Innovation challenge, the eligibility criteria for Start-ups, the program objective and structure along with the benefits offered, its process for application of the challenge and its M&V process involved. UNIDO has initiated this project with an objective to address technology gaps through use of energy efficiency technologies and support the deployment and scale-up. The project is being implemented in collaboration with the Bureau of Energy of Efficiency (BEE) and is supported by the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The main aim of FLCTD project is to identify high-impact opportunities that have potential for energy saving as well as large-scale carbon emission reductions. Incentives to participation involves

  • Grant up to USD 50,000 for winning technology
  • Performance Verification to establish the efficacy of innovative technology in working conditions.
  • Business Acceleration and Mentoring support from industry experts.
  • Recognition from Bureau of Energy Efficiency, and UNIDO and IESA

UNIDO has selected Customized Energy Solutions (India) as the Nodal Agency to support the Project Management Unit in Planning and Implementation of Innovation Challenge in Electrical Energy Storage. India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) is a supporting partner for this Innovation Challenge.
