The Global Start-up Showcase Program under WESD witnessed participation of startups from various regions across the globe to be a part of the Pitch Session on 22nd of September 2021. More than 80 startups registered out of which 17 were shortlisted for the final pitch by a set of evaluators. The program was supported by TiE India Angels, VJTI-TBI, New Energy Nexus and Student Energy for outreach and promotion. The program also witnessed a footfall of more than 20+ global investors who joined the pitch session. Some of the esteemed names are NOAB Ventures, Gold Ventures, Climate Seeds Fund, Indian Angel Network, Theia Ventures, Altius Ventures, IFC, cKers Finance and many more. A panel discussion was also carried out on the topic, “Creating an enabling environment to support clean tech and mobility start-ups”. Based on the scores provided by the evaluators, top 5 startups were selected and offered complimentary IESA Start-up Membership for a year (for non-members) along with acceleration and investment connect to support throughout the entire engagement period.
