Indian hydropower generation company, NHPC Limited has signed a Power Sale Agreement (PSA) with Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Ltd (CSPDCL) for the supply of 400 MW Solar Power at the tariff of Rs. 2.55/kWh for 25 years on a long-term basis.

The latest PSA has been signed under the 2000 MW ISTS (Interstate Transmission System) grid-connected Solar Photo Voltaic Projects where NHPC Limited is the intermediary procurer under tariff-based competitive bidding, with NHPC expected to earn a trading margin at Rs 0.07/kWh during the contract period. 

The PSA was signed by S.P. Rathour, General Manager (Power Trading), NHPC, and Manoj Khare, Chief Engineer (Commercial), CSPDCL in the presence of other officers from NHPC and CSPDCL.

To date, NHPC has signed PSA for the supply of 1700 MW of the total 2000 MW Solar Power. PSA for balance quantum of 300 MW with PSPCL is likely to be signed shortly.
