Electrical energy powers our lives, and with batteries, it can be accessed with ease and efficiency. Batteries play a key role in the energy transition. With batteries, the supply-demand can be balanced over time in various situations even when no energy can be produced.

With the advent of ground-breaking multi-disciplinary scientific discoveries encompassing electrochemistry, organic & inorganic chemistry, materials science, etc., several challenges concerning batteries have been met. Lithium-ion battery technology has become a reality and is rapidly changing the world around us.

Lithium-ion batteries are the powerhouse of the digital electronic revolution. They first appeared commercially in the 1990s and are now the go-to choice to power everything from mobile phones to electric vehicles to drones. It is, therefore, the need of the hour to know the basics of Li-ion battery technology.

IESA and SPPU jointly announce a two-day workshop with the aim to educate about the basics of Li-ion battery technology and provide a hands-on lab experience to understand the functions, testing, and behaviour of Li-ion batteries.
