Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) is a global research university with more than 12,000 students, 92,000 alumni, and 5,000 faculty and staff. CMU has been a birthplace of innovation throughout its 113-year history.
The Wilton E. Scott Institute for Energy Innovation is a university-wide research initiative at CMU focused on improving energy efficiency and developing new, clean, affordable and sustainable energy sources. Using Carnegie Mellon’s expertise in integrated systems, problem-solving rigor, and an understanding of the intersection of energy and public policy, the work of the institute will concentrate on energy efficiencies and reliability, as well as smart operations, materials and processes.
This brings the IESA community to 12 members and in coming moths, we anticipate many more companies and research institutes will join the growing family.
